Chosen: Werewolf Academy Book 7 – The Finale

Werewolf-Academy-7-cover-200x300Cheree Alsop’s conclusion to her Werewolf Academy series: Chosen vibrated my soul with strains of the Cannons from Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.  Chosen is the 7th book in this powerful series that splays real world prejudice and bigotry open with a blast while entertaining with paranormal fantasy that is not for the faint of heart.

Alex knew choosing the path of the lone wolf wouldn’t be easy, but challenging Jaze Carso for the chance to bring the Werewolf Academy to the public would prove to be much harder. Alex has to decide how far he is willing to go to give werewolves the life he has fought for. Will his trust in humans become the biggest mistake of his life, or will his hope in humanity prove that selflessness can change prejudice? Alex has bled for both sides; now is his time to challenge whether those sides will do the same for him.Everything Alex has fought and bled for comes together in this final book in the Werewolf Academy series. New threats arise, an old enemy resurfaces, and the bond of love is tested to the extreme in this gripping conclusion.

Silver-Moon-Cover-200x300YA Fantasy Author Cheree Alsop is celebrating the completion of the Silver Series #7: Silver Moon by holding a huge book giveaway. The 1st and 7th person to leave comments here on the WUFC Blog with contact information will be the lucky winners to receive free copies of the entire series. Here’s some great reading for the summer.

Free copies of Silver, Book #1 in the Silver Series can be obtained on Smashwords, Kindle or Nook.

Silver Moon, the seventh book in the Silver Series, is about Jaze as he fights to hold onto the peace he has achieved for the werewolves. Tensions rise, ultimatums are made, and Jaze is forced to make a decision that will change everything for werewolves, hunters, and humans alike. Hearts are broken, lives are forfeit, and Jaze’s pack is called upon to save those who survive.

Silver Moon is about sacrificing everything for love. With those he cares about on the line, Jaze’s courage, loyalty, and leadership are put to the ultimate test.

Jaze Carso gives us the scoop:

“Werewolves hide among you; it’s a secret we have fought for centuries to keep. We were almost wiped out once, and know better than to let the secret out again. But just like humans, werewolves are impulsive and sometimes uncontrollable. That’s where I come in. My job is to protect the werewolves and help them live full and happy lives. There are Hunters and others who don’t believe werewolves have rights and should be hunted and exterminated like animals. I’ve done what I can to smooth Hunter-werewolf relations, but extremists, fighting rings, and covert agencies feel that the fate of werewolves should be to die, be forced to fight for the entertainment of humans who watch the mutilation and bloodshed like it’s a sport, or be experimented upon to unlock the secrets of our superior strength and increased healing capabilities. Interview with Chree Alsop author of When Death Loved an Angel

Death-Love-an-Angel-Cover-200x300When Death Loved an Angel by Cheree Alsop is a touching paranormal romance that caused me to start thinking about death in a totally new way.

Margaret: What particular author/s have influenced your writing?

Cheree: The first books I ever loved were Louis Llamor novels. I loved the old west and the romanticism of the cowboys. I read everything our school library had to offer. I then went on to Piers Anthony, [Read more…]

Martial Artist and Authors join Forces to Assist a Cancer Patient

ProvoKickathonFlyer-967x1024Today I am writing this blog post while waiting in the surgical lobby area as my daughter is being prepped for brain surgery. This is the time in the poem “Footsteps in the Sand” by Mary Stevenson where the Lord is carrying me. Dr. Sanan will remove part of her brain tumor, as much as is safe to do so, and perform the biopsy. This is a necessary step to determine what is the next step in her cancer treatment plan. I have to admit that I wait with fear and trembling in spite of  prayers and good wishes expressed by others and the brave front that my daughter wore going into pre-op. I want to extend my thanks for the support and tireless efforts so many friends, family and perfect strangers have given in behalf of Serena in her Journey to healing. Many yard sales, craft sales, and other kinds of fundraisers as well as cash donations have assisted to pay for her treatments over the past six months. Even today there was a two thousand dollar deductible that was covered by friends – angels on earth. More such angels are gathering this coming Saturday to Kick Out Cancer in Serena’s behalf at Memorial Park on 800 E. Center St. in Provo, Utah. Sensei Nathan Boyd is hosting a Kick-a-thon for Cancer! He invites all interested Ninjas and Ninja want to be’s to come and kick, and those who want to support them to sponsor them. For more details contact him at            801-373-4844 or at Provo USSD. or email SenseiNate@gmail.com. Nathan Boyd is offering $50.00 gift certificates to his martial arts studio for lessons to event participants and cancer fund donors. Deirdra Eden has kindly organized the Book Signing that is happening at the same event. Many authors who I’ve not had the privilege to meet yet are coming to support the cause.  There is room for more authors if you want to participate please contact Deirdra at guidedhope@gmail.com. Here are the authors that have signed up so far: Book Cover Poster

Other Items available at this event include a quilt that will be up for raffle, and a bake sale. There will be free drinking water for everyone. Bands will be performing throughout the day. Living Scriptures will give a free DVD to each family that attends the event and donate a portion of their sales to Serena’s cancer fund. Turbo Scan / Heritage Makers will offer discounts on photo scanning and preservation and contribute a percentage of their sales to the cancer treatment fund. If you are in or near the Provo area this Saturday, August 18th, please drop by and enjoy the fun and help contribute. If you are unable to attend but still want to donate you can do so on-line on the Provo USSD Website: http://www.ussdprovo.blogspot.com/p/cancer-kick-thon.html . THANK YOU!
