Theresa Sneed

TSneedPhotoTheresa Sneed grew up in the woodlands of Maine, where she spent most of her time climbing trees and looking for snakes under rocks. Her wealth of childhood experiences and a lively imagination provide fertile soil to growing magical stories. As a mother of six, a grandmother of five, and an elementary school teacher, she enjoys weaving stories of fantasy and adventure that bring about moments of wonder and reflection.

Theresa’s son Isaac is a cancer survivor. He had neuroblastoma.

Theresa graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts in education and has written award winning poetry and stories. Her first novel, No Angel was a 2011 Whitney finalist, her second novel, Earthbound was a 2012 Whitney finalist, and her third novel, Destiny was nominated for a Whitney in 2013. She enjoys reading and writing fantasy, romance, and suspense.

Theresa Sneed is the author of No AngelEarthbound and Destiny from the No Angel series; Elias of Elderberry (book one in her fantasy series: Sons of Elderberry). Her latest release is the first book in a suspense series: Escape.

Teresa served as president on the ANWA Executive Board for several years. “I love words! Words teach, uplift, and inspire, or they tear down and destroy. I take words very seriously, and the words that I choose are meant to cause reflection, and to bring hope.”
